Relaxed, fun + cringe free photography for laid back people in love

Your moments are pretty darn lovely just as they are- so when it comes to creating photos that do them justice? There’s no manipulation necessary.

That means no cheesy poses/ awkward gazes/ forced smiles (camera shy people, rejoice!) and definitely none of that “gaze longingly into each others eyes” type stuff. The most important thing is that you two feel like you can be yourselves, be present in the moment, and enjoy spending your day with the people you love.

Instead of a photoshoot, think of this is a chance to explore together. Take a stroll around your venue, or a wander around the area. Share a play date in the park. Curl up for a cozy morning at home. If you’re looking for Relaxed wedding photography in Glasgow Scotland? Let’s make some new memories together.

ALL love is welcome here– and all people are treated equally. It doesn’t matter to me who you love, how you identify, or what unique combination of things make you YOU. If you are two people in love, or a laid back family (who also believe that all people are equal) we will get along just fine. If you’re into nice coffee/food/dogs/cocktails/exploring the world around you? Even better!

I hope it’s pretty obvious from the content that I create that I’m a feminist and an ally. I’m also a leftie politically and a fierce advocate against ableism (my wee daughter is disabled with complex needs, so it’s personal!). I’ll say it here again, louder and prouder for the people in the back: ALL love stories are worthy of sharing and ALL families are beautiful. As a photographer I feel a strong responsibility to create and share work that allows everyone to see themselves represented and celebrated, in the wedding industry and beyond.

If you want to hear more, here’s a link to a podcast interview on inclusivity & storytelling I did recently with the fab duo at Perspective Podcast.

Want to know more about why this stuff is important to me? Many of the people I love the most are part of these marginalised communities, including my three year old daughter who is non verbal and physically disabled due to a rare genetic condition called Rett Syndrome. You can read more about her and my “real” life here.

So… what memories will we make?

No matter what happy occasion you’re celebrating, we’ll be making new memories as we document them. Two birds- one stone. Relaxed, fun and as unobtrusively as possible.

If you’re the kind of people who make their own rules- you’re in the right place. Wee weddings at alternative venues? DIY details? Elopements in quirky places or out in the wild? YAASSS. You’re looking for mostly candid photos with a few casual planned shots along the way? Let’s do this. Say hello here.

Let’s explore together. If you’re visiting Scotland and are up for an adventure- with some pretty epic photos to prove you were here- I’ve got you covered. And if you’re planning a surprise proposal in Scotland? I happen to be the local expert. 😉 I’ve spent a decade exploring Scotland- for my work as a photographer but also in my downtime, and you won’t find anyone who loves a road trip adventure more than me! Drop me a message here to chat locations and ideas for your Scottish adventure.

Looking for a family photographer lets your kids just be kids and captures personality (not poses)? Expecting a baby and not into squishing them into a bucket or posing them like a frog? Let’s keep it real with an in home newborn photography session or a family shoot at your favourite outdoor spot. And if your family need a photographer who understands and has experience working with children with additional and complex needs- you’re in the right place. More info on family sessions here, or say hello here to chat in more detail.

Choose your happy occasion below, and I’ll share the deets.

“The photos were beyond my expectations.”

On the wedding day she was such a calm and kind presence- she fit in so well with myself and the bridesmaids that I kept having to remind myself she was there to photograph!
