About Rhiannon

Hi, and thanks for stopping by!

I’m Rhiannon: wife, mum, small business owner and professional photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland (but more than willing to travel!)

I’m a mum to one tiny human (called Charly) and one not so tiny dog (called Dexter), and I’m married to one Scottish guy (he’s called Paul). I was born in Winnipeg, Canada, where I spent most of my life before moving to Scotland in 2015. We live in Finnieston in the West End of Glasgow, where I work out of my in-home office & studio, though I can often be found curled up in a corner with my laptop at one of our local coffee shops.

I’m a bit of a travel addict- in the past five years Paul and I have visited 23 countries together, and our list of “must-see” places is always growing. When I say I’m ‘more than willing’ to travel, I mean it! I’ve photographed weddings all across Scotland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and as far as the Caribbean and I hope to add more places to that list very soon. (Bonus points to you if you can help me with that!)

A Few Honest Facts About Me

    • I couldn’t live without coffee, music or a camera and I am rarely found without all three on me at any given time.

    • I love these things (in no particular order): dogs, old horror films, vinyl, craft beer, autobiographies, food, wine and pretty much all things sold to me as ‘vintage’.

    • I don’t love these things (in order from least to most offensive): early mornings, olives and running (sure it’s good for you, but at what cost?)

    • I vastly prefer this side of the camera, and I really do sympathize with those who don’t love having their photo taken.

    • I am easy going, fun-loving and I wear my heart on my sleeve. (Disclaimer: if you choose me to photograph your wedding, there’s a very good chance that I may shed a tear or two at some point during the day.)
    • Here’s a photo of me shooting an elopement in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland, in the pouring rain. Isn’t photography glamorous? (I wouldn’t have it any other way).

Some Credentials (just in case you’re wondering)

I know it sounds cliche, but I really have loved photography and film for as long as I can remember and I’ve been taking photos of the things around me since I got my first camera from my mum and dad at age eight. I spent most of my teenage/early adult years watching as many films as I could get my hands on, and my love of the visual arts continues to grow. While my passion for photography was always there, it took a lot of hard work to get to where I am today!

I studied photography, film and media production in University and left with a degree in Journalism which really helped me to develop my documentary style. I started photographing weddings and families back in 2008, and as my skillset and portfolio grew so did my business. I have now been working for over ten years as a professional photographer in Scotland, the United Kingdom, Europe and Canada and I LOVE what I do. I feel so lucky to have made a career out of something I’m passionate about, and I could not be more thankful for every couple who has trusted me to document their wedding day; for every new parent who has trusted me to capture their baby’s first photos; for every family that has trusted me to photograph the ever-growing personalities of their children. This is so much more than a job to me!

“Rhiannon was the photographer for our wedding and was amazing from start to finish! Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera and she ensured that our day was relaxed and filled with lots of fun! Our photos are absolutely perfect with a mix of candid and staged-exactly what we were looking for. We can’t recommend Rhiannon highly enough!”

And the Pearce family (I’ve done their family photos for five years now!) said:
